" After getting the local guide from the FBO line service see what else there is in Columbus, OH (KLCK), ATC won't tell you about it but another pilot mentioned something about what is waiting for you when you land " AirNet Systems INC. I'll just jump right in the week for all the busy Bored Pilots, in KRAP- "Rapid City Regional" Rapid City, SD... KMEM- "Memphis Intl" Memphis, TN... MYEF- "Exuma Intl" Exuma Is, ... KMFE- "Mc Allen Miller Intl" Mcallen, TX... KSFO- "San Francisco Int'l" San Francisco, CA... After getting the local guide from the FBO line service see what else there is in Rapid City, SD (KRAP), A crew member mentioned that if you were into enjoying sports " Watch a Rapid City Rush Hockey game at the Civic Center on Omaha Street " Before you head out of the FBO door in Memphis, TN (KMEM), one pilot has mentioned that if you were interested in saving the the aircraft catering for later and eat " You should try Brother Juniper's in Memphis. Best breakfast I've had in town. " Before you even land you can already be thinking about Exuma Is, (MYEF), it has been said trying to forget that last landing with the 30 kt gust and get some food " "Doc" at the Peace and Plenty makes the best Margarita you may ever drink. You may only remember the first though - strong! "P&P" is the local spot for live music too... could be trouble if you have an early duty in. " Before you even land you can already be thinking about Mcallen, TX (KMFE), there was a post that may help if you were interested in stopping worrying about jet fuel prices and get some grub at " Food court in the mall beside McCreery Aviation is within walking distance. Also a steak house of the Road House variety of one of those (all the same) on the way. " Don't just let ! the FBO desk send you anywhere in San Francisco, CA (KSFO), you may want to know for your " Go the International Terminal and take the Bart to Powell St. It will take you downtown and right to the Cable Cars which you can then take to Fishermans Wharf. Remember the old crew cars? The only way to get around while on a layover at the airport use to be in that old beat-up junk. No way to promise that you won't find yourself in another one of those and remember the old flight instruction days but you can see the area in KHUM- "Houma-terrebonne" Houma, LA... KSGR- "Sugarland Regional" Sugarland, TX... KFXE- "Executive Int'l" Ft Lauderdale, FL... KCHD- "Chandler Municipal" Chandler, AZ... After getting the local guide from the FBO line service see what else there is in Houma, LA (KHUM), A Bored Pilot has posted that if it crossed your mind about saving the the aircraft catering for later and eat " Sent to Big Al's Seafood. Pretty good, about the only sit down option. Closed on Mondays " Is the crew lounge full of NetJet pilots and Flight Option pilots? Check out whats in Sugarland, TX (KSGR), A Bored Pilot has posted that if it crossed your mind about how the pilots found the FBO to be " Sugarland City run FBO is Great. Complementary crew car for a couple of hours, gym, showers, sleeping quarters, and free wi-fi!!! Went twice in two nights. Owners are from PERU where their family owns 5 Argentinian steak houses. Get the Chorizo appetizer and the Skirt Steak entree. Total bill will be 22pp. Dont bother asking how they make it so good....they wont tell! " Before you make your plans in Chandler, ! AZ (KCHD), the pilots union voted and you should know about stopping worrying about jet fuel prices and get some grub at " The Hangar Cafe locate right on the field. Open for breakfast and lunch until 2pm only. Typical small airport diner food at great prices. $2.95 beer!!! Flying a slick plane is great but while when you get on the ground in KLAX- "Los Angeles Intl" Los Angeles, CA... Think it over before you head out in Los Angeles, CA (KLAX), you may want to consider what one Pilot had to say about somthing else, it isn't completely void " " Staying at the hotels on the row, the Ocean Express Trolley can take you down to Manhattan Beach for food and fun.
