Bored Pilot posts in KJAN, KSTF, KPWK, KGMU, KPNE, KVNC,
BoredPilot

When you are finished filing your IFR flight plans now you will know whats in KJAN- "Jackson International" Jackson, MS... KSTF- "George M Bryan" Starkville, MS... KPWK- "Chicago Executive" Chicago, IL... KGMU- "Greenville Downtown" Greenville, SC... KPNE- "Northeast Philadelphia" Philadelphia, PA... KVNC- "Venice Muni" Venice, FL...

Before you even land you can already be thinking about Jackson, MS (KJAN), you may want to know for your other things to offer " " I always seem to find my way over to the harbor freight store - especially when I have a coupon. Only about 10 minutes and all the cheap tools you need. You can usually find a coupon over at www.harborfreight.com by getting on their email list. I got my free flashlight. Great store for pilots since we are so cheap. "

Before you decide what to do in Starkville, MS (KSTF), A crew member mentioned that if you were into letting the captain of the plane buy the crew some food at " Sweet Peppers Deli - Left out of the parking lot and left at the light. Great food! "

Before you decide what to do in Chicago, IL (KPWK), ATC won't tell you about it but another pilot mentioned something about booking a room " 3 miles from the airport and if you use the AAA rate of $80. per night it's great deal. Fairfield Inn Chicago Glenview/Northbrook, 4514 West Lake Avenue Glenview, IL 60025 USA Phone: 1-847-299-1600 "

Before you make your plans in Greenville, SC (KGMU), one pilot has mentioned that if you were interested in somthing else, it isn't completely void " " Sounds like ! there is a new airport cafe on site. Runway Cafe. Someone post and let us know how it is. "

While making your plans in Philadelphia, PA (KPNE), A Bored Pilot has posted that if it crossed your mind about somthing else, it isn't completely void " " Redirected to KPNE due to passenger request, and couldn't have been happier about it. We normally go to PHL, but PNE is our new destination. Radio'd ahead to advise of arrival, girl at desk very friendly. Arrived, line service was slow to assist but the customer service reps quickly picked up slack (even brought out a luggage cart). There are several places to eat in the area, and there is a free crew car. Pilot's lounge is updated, but there isn't a pool table and the wireless was not working 100% - however, the customer service rep let me use her desk as needed in the interim. Overall, price for gas was high but the service inside more than made up for it. "

Before you make your plans in Venice, FL (KVNC), you may want to consider what one Pilot had to say about stopping worrying about jet fuel prices and get some grub at " Ate at sharky's on the Pier. they run a free shuttle. The view was great and food was fresh and tasty. Well worth the stop! "

I am a corporate pilot and after years of flying for the airlines and for the corporate world I decided to create this free site to help us all out. I was tired of wasting away while sitting in the crew rooms watching CNN. I often heard of great activities in certain cities just 10 minutes from the airport but unfortunately I always heard of them the day after I was there. Now we can share our finds and help out the next pilot and also refresh our minds of what we have found in our travels.
